Nuances Controller is a hand made midi controller in an oiled wood case.
– It is USB powered and natively recognised by your DAW on MacOs & Windows as “NuancesMidiController” without any driver.
– Each fader transmits only Midi CC value.
– You can keep the switch pressed to change each fader’s Midi controller number. Your custom MIDI CC choice is stored in ROM on switch release
– 3 faders 6 cm travel
– A small oled screen displays the midi controller number on the top and the corresponding value on the bottom. The display goes to sleep after a few minutes of inactivity.
– Braided cable : about 1,8 m for Classic USB / 1m for USB C.
– Weight : about 350g
– Size : about 9,6 cm x 13,5 cm and 3,2 cm high + 1,5 cm for the faders

Both Classic USB and USB C versions are exactly the same internally and will work either on a standard USB computer or an USB C computer via an Hub or an adapter (not included).
Unless you are working remotely with your laptop only, I strongly advise you to order the Classic USB version. Classic USB hubs are more commons and Nuances controller USB bandwidth is so small that dedicating an single USB C port for it is a waste.
Both versions will also works natively on any computer, including new apple silicon computers (M1/M2/M3).

My Nuances Controller arrived today and it is indeed a work of art. Beautiful, simple, and functional. I absolutely LOVE it. The faders feel fantastic; so smooth. The 60mm throw, I believe, is perfect. 100mm would be too long, and much better than the 35mm on my Arturia Keylab (yuck). My strings sound immediately better.

Just wanted to express my thanks to you for this magnificent piece of crafted perfection.
I just received my controller today and I connected it to my Mac – everything just worked perfectly fine.
You even managed to include a display timer, so the OLED wouldn’t burn in too fast – genius. The oiled casing and braided cable are the cherry on top.
I am super happy about my purchase and do not regret it. I knew I did the right decision by avoiding all these overpriced Kickstarter products that never ship anyway and going for your DIY controller – which honestly looks like right from the Moog factory 😉

My Nuances controller arrived this morning and I’m absolutely thrilled!
I’d been using a controller with 100mm faders and the 60mm throw of yours is perfect – really good weight and spacing between faders too.
I’m something of a woodworker myself, making instruments, and I’m very impressed with the build quality of your unit. It’s a work of art and because of that it feels like an extension of the sample library being played. A physical instrument in a sense that connects you to the music – wonderful!
I really appreciate that you take time out of your composing to make these and have them available to others.
